History
The oldest institution of fire-technical profile of Russia - was established on Oct. 18, 1906, when by the decision of City Council of St. Petersburg Courses of fire technicians were opened on Moskovsky prospect. After the events of October 1917 it was decided to reorganize the Course of fire engineering, which was followed in February 1918 from their base was set up fire-technical school, which until 1924 had prepared the fire chief. In December 1924 started its activity the Leningrad Fire College (LFC). In September 1946 the school has got a new status - Leningrad fire-technical school. In 2001 the State Fire Service was introduced to EMERCOM.
